About

KeithEmmel.com is the professional weblog home of entrepreneur Keith Emmel and the Change the Game business strategy. I maintain a personal blog of sorts through tumblr (link below).
I founded this site in 2002 but it only became a dedicated weblog in early 2007. The goal of the site is to present, define and refine the Change the Game strategy principles. This strategy, first presented by Michael Lewis in Moneyball (2003) and by Kim and Mauborgne in Blue Ocean Strategy (2005), is based on the idea of creating and thriving in uncontested market space. To sum it up best, beat the competition by making the competition irrelevant.
I split time between Minnesota and Utah trying my best to practice the business strategies explored here. I came out to Utah to work for Little Giant Ladders as the Director of Innovation and held that position until Feb. 2008 when I ventured off on my own. Having met some incredible people I decided to hang around a little longer to explore some incredible new opportunities.
I am the Founder/Managing Director of Mill St Concepts and rdyLAUNCH ventures. I currently work exclusively with reformID, a multidisciplinary design firm and consultancy, with the sole purpose to innovate everyday tasks.
